RetroVertigo started out with the name iGlitter. It was planned to be a Myspace resource site, however it didn’t work out so it sat doing nothing for around 6 months to a year. I then decided that I wanted to blog again but due to having had 2 of my domains stolen from me by my ex, I decided that instead of buying a new domain, I’d use the domain I had.

 

So iGlitter was given the new name of ‘Trashy Lies’. I chose this because of the drama that I had endured when I split up with my ex. I had been without the internet for about 18 months before as I moved in with my then new boyfriend. So once my boyfriend George got the internet for us I began to get back into graphics and learn how to make layouts again.

 

After about a year of having the site named Trashy Lies, I began to realise that the name sucked and wasn’t ‘Me’. I spent alot of time thinking of some good names that would reflect me but could only come up with ‘Pasture Mix’. I have been using the name since but decided it seemed a bit ‘stupid’ and I needed something a bit more ‘grown up’.

 

I was introduced to a new genre of music which has a bunch of awesome bands. I listened to a song called RetroVertigo by a band called Mr Bungle. I became majorly in love with the song and thought it would make a great blog name. I think the name is kinda unique and catchy.
